JOIN THE CLUB
Rams Media Group is one of the many clubs that Elmore Stoutt High School has to offer its students. We take this opportunity to explain and show to you why we stand out amongst the rest and answer for you…“Why should I join Rams Media Group?”
Some clubs are only active certain times of the year. After that time has passed, they basically become inactive until that time rolls around again. However, here at Rams Media Group, we are always active and in full swing as we are responsible for constantly updating news about the school, entertainment and our wider community.
MULTIPLE AREAS OF WORK
We’re confident that there will be at least one thing within our club that may pique one’s interest. We range from digital graphic design, to production, to journalism and even photography. The margin has been widened, opening much more opportunities for upcoming entrepreneurs to get their bearings.
In some cases, prior experience is not required as skills will develop as one advances and progress in the club. Students will get to work in an environment that not only promotes healthy working habits, but allows them to develop skills that might very well lead them to their career path.
Over the years, our club has helped several students find their niche and narrow things down for them from a career standpoint. Below are a few students:
- Christen Glasgow aka DJ Marz got his start when he joined our club in 2016. Here he learned the basics of the art and even performed at our very first DJ competition that same year.
- Jadon Hodge, a person who didn’t even want to join any clubs during his time at ESHS, gave our club a chance and developed a love for production. He is now a producer in the United Kingdom and has since released several projects, including his “Wavy Tapes” that you can find here.
- Kaleel Donovan, another long-time member of the club to this day, was mostly unsure of his career path back in 2015. However, when he joined the club his skills started to develop as time progressed. Today, he is moving up the ranks in graphic design and most recently voice acting. He has been instrumental in designing the digital year book and the ESHS Rams Media Group website we all use and love.
WE ARE UNIQUE
When we started as ESHS Rams Radio back in 2016, we made history becoming the first high school internet radio station in the territory. To date, no other high school in the BVI or USVI has tried to follow in our footsteps, making us unique in our own way.
COUNTS AS COMMUNITY SERVICE
Students are eligible to obtain community service hours in exchange for the work that they produce while being a part of the club.
