8th, 9th, 1Oth, 11th AND 12th GRADERS REPORT FOR ORIENTATION
The seats of the New Testament Church of God International Worship Center were flooded with 5 different grades during 5 orientation sessions. September 5 and 6 were the days returning students were to report and hear of how their 2019-2020 school year will run.
To say they were excited would be an understatement. Smiles, hugs, and kisses were shared as students were reunited with their peers and teachers alike.
Principal, Mrs. Vanessa Garraway was the first to greet the students. She instilled in them the values that are expected of them throughout the year. In a calm, yet stern voice she was sure to inform the parents that there will be no tolerance for students who fail to adhere to the strictly enforced uniform policy, bad behavior nor constantly tardy or unprepared students.
They were also met by Principal Letitia Penn-Rogers, who will be permanently housed at the Road Town campus along with Mr. Cecil Hodge (Disciplinary principal).
The 8th and 9th graders will be housed at the Road Town Campus along with the 7th graders. The newly renovated L shaped building is the first part of ESHS’s old campus to be renovated post Hurricane Irma and Maria.
The 11th Graders will remain at the old CTL Building in Pasea with the 10th and 12th graders.
As this is the 11th graders’ second year in the senior program, they were reminded to continue to strive for excellence in every area of their school career.
In a short interview with a 9th grade parent, she said “ I will continue to trust the school staff with my daughter, even at the L shaped building. I am confident they have her [ her daughter] best wishes at heart.
An 11th grade parent also said “This is another step closer to the end so I’m excited. Its nice to see the building is being refurbished so I am much more comfortable with my daughter there. My daughter is in pretty good hands”.
The Faculty, Staff, and ESHS Rams Radio wishes the 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th graders a successful, safe and enjoyable school year.
